چکیده
This study investigates the stratigraphical sequence of Cocina Cave (Spain) employing and testing for first time capability rare earth elements as markers human activities in caves. Located Dos Aguas (Valencian Community, Spain), is characterized by presence several Holocene archaeological deposits from final Mesolithic to present day a pivotal site understanding socio-ecological dynamics last hunter-gatherer inhabitants Iberian Peninsula transition pastoral agricultural economies Western Mediterranean. However, identification strata particular time-periods cave often difficult due homogeneity layers, poor record some severe disturbance phenomena. The methodological approach this consisted cross-referencing other chemical with interpretation, an attempt not only support anthropic contribution formation strata, but also characterize confirm different natural occupational episodes, particularly those associated hunter-gatherer, early agriculturalist, shepherd activities. Sediments were collected excavation areas analysed major elements, trace (REE), soil organic matter (SOM) amounts pH. Multivariate statistics employed group samples according their elemental profile, these then compared temporal interpretation. obtained results showed that REE amount fractionation geochemical processes regulated carbonates, phosphates use was useful concentrations calculated ratios anomaly distributions demonstrated be highly consistent

The Marine Geochemistry of the Rare Earth Elements
Novel methods were developed for the determination of 12 of the 14 Rare Earth Elements (REE) in seawater. Initial extractions of the REE by chelating ion exchange chromatography is followed by cation exchange for removal of co-extracted U and remaining traces of major ions. Finally traces of U are removed by anion exchange before irradiation for 8 hours at a flux of 5 x 1013 neutrons.cm-2 .sec~...
متن کاملGeochemistry of Major, Trace, and Rare Earth Elements in Biglar Permo-Triassic Bauxite Deposit, Northwest of Abgarm, Ghazvin Province, Iran
Biglar Permo-Triassic bauxite deposit is located in ~15 km northwest of Abgarm, southwest of Ghazvin province, west of central Iran. It consists of 8 stratiform and discontinuous bauxite lenses lying along the contact of Ruteh (Permian) and Elika (Triassic) carbonate formations. Petrographically, the bauxite ores exhibit collomorphic-fluidal, pseudo-breccia, pseudo-porphyritic, panidio-morphic-...
متن کاملRare Earth Elements Profile
Definitions and characteristics The rare earth elements (REE) (sometimes referred to as the rare earth metals) are a group of 17 chemically similar metallic elements, including the 15 lanthanides, scandium and yttrium. The lanthanides are elements spanning atomic numbers 57 (lanthanum, La) to 71 (lutetium, Lu) (Table 1). The lanthanides all occur in nature, although promethium, the rarest, only...

the dalir phosphate horizon is located ~57 km southwest of chalous, mazandaran province. the horizon developed as stratiform within upper shale of soltanieh formation (late neoproterozoic - early cambrian). according to mineralogical data, the major minerals of the phosphate horizon are calcite, fluorapatite, dolomite, quartz, pyrite, muscovite, and illite. microscopic evidence such as existenc...
